The first simulator Reality Thales H gets a double approval
The agency responsible for civil aviation in France, DGAC, the approvals granted FTD Level 3 and Level B FFS the first model helicopter simulator Reality Dauphin N3/N3 H +. H Reality Simulator is based on the new generation of Thales products designed to maximize the benefits of education and availability, while providing ease of installation, operation and maintenance. Thales has developed the system for this special version for Dauphin N3/N3 + in conjunction with Eurocopter, which has provided the software for helicopter flight simulation.
The simulator has been installed in the Training Centre of Heli-Union, a leader in helicopter transportation services to offshore platforms in Angouleme, France.
According to European standards JAR / EASA approvals FTD Level 3 and Level B FFS allow this next generation system used in the instruction to obtain type ratings for helicopters, as well as periodic training required for annual renewal licensing of pilots. The simulator can be used instead of a real helicopter to conduct proficiency checks of operators (PCOs). Can also be included as part of a training program for beginners aimed at obtaining the commercial pilot helicopter (CPL H), or pilot license airline transport helicopter (ATPL H), including enabling for instrument flight (IR) and proficiency checks (PC). Due to its ability to reconstruct flight environments, can also be used for online verification.
In addition, this tech simulator will increase the capacity of Heli-Union to instruct and train pilots, especially for onshore and offshore, to support exploration programs and production of oil or gas, which are some of the most demanding in the field of civil aviation.

El nuevo simulador se empleará en los entrenamientos para misiones específicas como SAR (búsqueda y salvamento), EMS (servicios médicos de emergencia) y operaciones en alta mar, y ofrece numerosas posibilidades de reconfiguración. Por ejemplo, la cabina del Dauphin N3/N3+ se puede sustituir por la de otro tipo de helicóptero, como la del EC135, y el panel de instrumentos se puede reconfigurar para instrumentos analógicos o digitales, opciones de equipamiento, etc.
El simulador modular Reality H incluye una estación de acoplamiento y un sistema visual construido en forma de cúpula e instalado sobre un sistema de movimiento hexaxial con accionamiento eléctrico. Los módulos intercambiables que representan la cabina de cada helicóptero simulado se encajan a la estación de acoplamiento. El módulo de la estación del instructor proporciona una visión optimizada de los tripulantes que se están entrenando. El sistema visual de proyección directa ofrece un campo de visión amplio (210° x 70°) e imágenes geoespecíficas de alta resolución en combinación con el generador de imágenes ThalesView NGT.

Este simulador tiene base en Singapur y permite a Eurocopter cubrir sus necesidades de formación para clientes civiles y militares en la región.
